What is Your Internet Strategy?!

Internet Marketing is vital to your business’s success; and there are more avenues to explore than ever before. Consider that at one time, not so long ago, all a business needed in order to have some success online, was a website and a link in the local online yellow pages. Today, business owners need to consider Search Engine Optimization (both onsite SEO and offsite SEO – AKA link building), Search Engine Marketing – AKA Sponsored Links or Pay-Per-Click, Blogging and Content Creation, Social Media including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and others, Online Reputation Management, Google+ and other Local Listings, Yelp and other review sites, and whatever else comes along next week.

Each of these areas of Internet Marketing require a certain expertise. The person who understands onsite optimization may not be skilled at acquiring backlinks. The twitter and facebook expert may not grasp the importance of multiple ad groups and quality score in a Google AdWords campaign. As for web designers, they come in all shapes and sizes, but finding one who is good at building AND marketing a website is often next to impossible as they are two very different disciplines. (Consider yourself very lucky if your website designer is good at coding, aesthetics and getting your website ranked on the search engines.)
